UX Copywriter & Strategist

KAYAK removes the obstacles in travel to make it easier for people to experience the world. I was hired to remove the obstacles in copy to make it easier for users—renamed travelers—to book easier and feel more connected to the brand through desktop and mobile experiences.

Working across KAYAK’s digital ecosystem—including e-mails, push notifications, landing pages, & app onboarding—my responsibility was to echo product brand pillars established by senior management through every element of the user experience.

Please see highlights of this work below.

Launched KAYAK’s first ever loyalty program: Explorer.

In conjunction with a small team of designers and engineers, my first task upon being hired was to help conceptualize, brand and execute web and mobile UX copy assets for KAYAK’s first ever loyalty program: Explorer.

Developed brand narratives for KAYAK’s new hotels division.

Leveraging their expertise and insight on travel tech, KAYAK expanded into the hotel space with their own line of properties owned and managed by the brand. As apart of this new internal team, I lead the copy direction, brand conceptualization and copy development processes to launch all digital assets for the properties.

Built KAYAK’s Tone of Voice Guide

Recognizing a bottleneck in product development, I was tasked with crafting tone of voice guidelines to empower designers and engineers to independently develop on-brand copy in the early stages of their projects.
